Program Approach

  • 12-month extended model provides the time needed for in- depth intervention planning and execution

  • An in-take process that evaluates not just the financial basis of homelessness, but also the mental health, physical health, life skills, and social support requirements for achieving self- sufficiency

  •  Resident space and community areas co-located, providing maximum and easy access to all required classes and services

​

  •  Special attention to the needs of the family unit

​

  • Continued access to specific support services after the 12-month period to promote continued independence

S.T.E.P.S Program

 Family Development in Motion

Overall this will be a transitional placement facility housing homeless women with children for a period of 12 months.
​
Within that 12 month period all applicants are required to attend the following life skills courses three days a week: (non-working families must attend the classes three days a week from 9am-4pm):

  • Resume Building

  • ï‚·Money Management

  • ï‚·Self Esteem

  • ï‚·Information Technology

  • 9 Regional Addiction Prevention, INC (RAP, Inc.) has also volunteered to help with the fundraising and to come in and speak to the families’ on sobriety.
